About the Artist
I love being surrounded by nature. That is why my watercolors reflect the natural world.
I was born and raised in the urban environment of Tokyo. My career was that of a graphic designer for 25 years in Washington, DC.
Having designed on a computer, it is refreshing not to be able to undo a creative impulse. Watercolor takes focus and attention to detail.
Now I have the opportunity to spend more time with nature and in nature. Capturing the natural world with a brush is something I will deeply enjoy for the rest of my life.
